| To emphasize the importance of reading, our Mystery Reader program is fun for children and adults alike. Sign-ups are posted in advance for a day and time for the adult to come to the school to participate. The Mystery Reader can be a parent, caregiver, grandparent, aunt, uncle, older sibling, family friend…anyone the child recognizes as a special guest (or the child himself). The children do not know who the Mystery Reader is until the reader arrives. It is a fun surprise, and the child of the guest sits at the front of the room with the Mystery Reader while they read their selected story to the class. |
