Holy Family Children’s Center is dedicated to inspiring a lifelong love of learning by nurturing creativity and fostering a spirituality of joy and wonder. We honor relationships with one another and celebrate the beauty of the world around us. We focus on creating a dynamic learning environment that is respectful of each child’s unique interests, needs, and emerging abilities.
Our Teachers
Our dedicated educators come to us with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. They foster loving relationships with all the children and nurture their inner spirit. The role of the teacher is one of observer, facilitator and researcher. They embrace children’s strengths, support their interests and build on their skills and emerging abilities. Our teachers are curious about the work children are engaged in. They ask intentional questions, extend on their ideas and provoke their thinking by helping them discover new insights and possibilities. While playing with children, teachers document what they observe to gain an understanding of children’s thoughts, intentions and interests. Observations give insight into individual children as well as guide the planning of curriculum and the environment.
Our educators are qualified and dedicated professionals. We value professional development and staff members engage in continuous on-going dialogue with each other through weekly staff meetings, in-service days and workshops to keep current with the latest happenings in the field of early childhood education.
The Children's Center
Holy Family Children’s Center, the children’s home away from home, is a warm, charming 110 year old farm house. It offers the children everything they need to engage in learning and meaningful relationships. We are nestled in a beautiful, natural setting that encourages exploration, discovery, curiosity and imagination.
We are licensed for 34 children, ages 2.9-5 years. We value the interactions our teachers have and pride ourselves in our low teacher to child ratio that provides optimal engagement with the children.
